Privacy Policy for Stamp Your Pic App

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeInFaith handles information in connection with Stamp Your Pic, an iOS and Android camera app that adds a date, time, and location stamp to the photos you take or import.

Summary

  • Product: Stamp Your Pic by CodeInFaith.
  • Purpose: Take or import a photo, add a stamp with the date, time, place, coordinates, compass heading, altitude, a note, or your own logo, and save it to your device’s photo library.
  • Photos stay on your device: CodeInFaith does not upload, store, or view your photos, notes, or custom logos.
  • Location: Used to fill in the stamp. To show a place name, your coordinates are sent to your device’s built-in geocoding service (Apple on iOS, Google on Android). CodeInFaith does not receive your location.
  • No account needed: You can take, stamp, and save photos without signing in.
  • Third parties: The App Store and Google Play process purchases. Firebase and Google services process crash reports, app usage events, and app configuration.
  • Jurisdiction: California and United States, with additional rights for users where privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or CPRA apply.
  • Contact: [email protected].

Information We Collect

The app may handle the following information:

  • Photos: Photos you take with the camera or pick from your gallery are processed on your device. A photo you are still editing is kept in the app’s private storage until you save or discard it. Saved photos go to your device’s photo library. If you turn on “Also save the original”, the unstamped photo is saved to your photo library as well.
  • Location: Precise location (GPS) while you use the app, used to print a place name, address, coordinates, or altitude on the stamp. Coordinates are only printed when the location fix is accurate to about 1 km, and a place name is only looked up when it is accurate to about 100 m.
  • Compass heading: Read from your device’s sensors to print the direction on stamps that show it.
  • Location in photo data (optional, off by default): If you turn on Settings → “Location in photo data”, the app writes your GPS coordinates into the saved photo’s EXIF metadata. Anyone you share that photo with may be able to read that location. When the setting is off, saved photos carry no GPS data from the app.
  • Imported photos: When you stamp a photo from your gallery, the app reads the photo’s date and, where the system provides it, its location from the photo’s own metadata. On Android the system photo picker removes location data, so imported photos are stamped with the date only. On iOS the photo’s location may be included if you allow it in the picker.
  • Notes, custom logo, and preferences: The note text you add, the logo image you choose (stored as a small copy inside the app), favorite and recent stamps, stamp format settings, camera settings, theme, and your daily free save count are stored locally on your device.
  • Pro purchase status: Whether you own Lifetime Pro, provided by the App Store or Google Play and cached on your device.
  • App usage and diagnostics: Firebase Analytics events, such as a “photo saved” event that records which stamp design was used, whether it was a Pro design, and whether you have Pro, paywall and purchase events, and events Firebase Analytics collects automatically, such as app opens and screen views. Firebase Crashlytics crash reports with device model, operating system version, app version, and the error. Analytics and crash reporting start when you open the app; the app does not currently offer an in-app setting to turn them off. These never include your photos, location, notes, or logos.
  • Support communications: If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, or device details.

Information We Do Not Collect

CodeInFaith does not upload, store, or view your photos, the unstamped originals, your notes, or your custom logo.

CodeInFaith does not receive your location. Location is sent only to your device’s built-in geocoding service to look up a place name.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Stamp Your Pic to collect biometric data, health data, financial account numbers, or government identifiers.

Permissions

  • Camera: To take the photos you stamp. The app does not record audio or video.
  • Location (while using the app): To print the place, coordinates, and altitude on your stamp. If you deny it, you can still take and save photos; stamps show the date and time without location.
  • Photo library (add): To save your stamped photos and, if enabled, the originals.
  • Photos (pick): To import a photo to stamp or choose an image for your logo. The app uses the system photo picker, so it only sees the photos you pick.

Location and Reverse Geocoding

To turn coordinates into a place name or street address, the app uses your device’s built-in geocoding service: Apple’s service on iOS and Google’s service on Android. Those providers receive the coordinates under their own privacy policies. If you are offline or the lookup fails, the stamp shows coordinates or other fields instead of a place name.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide app features, including taking and importing photos, stamping them, saving them to your photo library, remembering your settings, notes, and favorite stamps, and counting free saves.
  • Process and restore Pro purchases.
  • Understand which features and stamp designs are used, diagnose crashes or errors, and prioritize improvements.
  • Show configuration provided through Firebase Remote Config, such as links to this policy, our terms, and feedback.
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the security and integrity of the app.

If GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include performance of a contract to provide the app, legitimate interests in app security, crash diagnostics, and understanding how the app is used so we can improve it (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics), consent for location and photo access through your device’s permission prompts, and legal obligations where applicable.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share information with the following categories of recipients:

  • App store and payment providers: The App Store and Google Play process purchases, refunds, taxes, fraud prevention, and purchase records. CodeInFaith does not receive your full payment card number.
  • Geocoding providers: Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) receive coordinates to return a place name.
  • Firebase and Google services: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config process app, device, diagnostic, and usage information. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Service providers: We may use providers for hosting, email, support, analytics, diagnostics, security, and business operations.
  • Legal and safety purposes: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, users, or the integrity of the app.

Photos you save are stored in your device’s photo library. If you back up your photo library to a cloud service or share photos with others, that is governed by those services and your own choices.

International Data Transfers

CodeInFaith is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Data Retention

  • Photos, notes, logo, and settings: Stored on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear app data. Photos saved to your photo library stay there until you delete them, even if you uninstall the app.
  • Pro purchase status: Cached locally and maintained by the App Store or Google Play according to their retention practices.
  • Support messages: Kept as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, maintain support records, resolve disputes, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Firebase, Google, and platform data: Retained according to those providers’ policies and your settings with those providers.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent, opt out of certain processing, or lodge a complaint with a privacy authority.

You can withdraw location or photo access at any time in your device settings, and you can turn off “Location in photo data” in the app. Because Stamp Your Pic does not require an account and your photos and settings are stored on your device, CodeInFaith may not be able to identify you unless you contact us or a third-party provider supplies relevant records. To make a request, email [email protected].

Children’s Privacy

Stamp Your Pic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies and Tracking

Stamp Your Pic is a mobile app and does not use website cookies inside the app. Firebase, the App Store, Google Play, and the device operating system may use identifiers for app functionality, diagnostics, analytics, fraud prevention, purchase processing, and security. The app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information connected to Stamp Your Pic. Data stored in the app is protected by your device’s security settings. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California Privacy Notice

For California users, we do not sell personal information. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through Stamp Your Pic. Depending on how third-party analytics or platform services are configured, California law may require additional disclosures about categories of personal information collected, purposes of use, retention, and rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or app store listing where appropriate.
