Information Collection and Use
Personal Information: SongLeadR does not require you to provide personally identifiable information to use core features.
Content You Create or Import: SongLeadR stores the content you create in the app, such as song titles, performers, keys, lyrics, chord placements, section notes/comments, tags, setlists/sessions, and related metadata.
Photos / Images: If you choose to use image-related features (e.g., attaching sheet music images, cropping, annotating, or importing/exporting images), the app will access images you select and store them for use within the app.
AI-Powered Sheet Music Conversion: If you use the sheet music conversion feature, images you provide may be processed to generate a ChordPro-style song representation. Depending on your configuration, this processing may involve sending the selected image to an AI service for transcription. We do not store your images on a remote server; any transmission is limited to processing, and images are retained only on your device.
Usage Data: The app may collect certain non-personal usage data, such as device information (including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers), usage statistics, and interactions with the app for the purpose of improving user experience and app functionality.
Use of Information
The information described above is used to:
- Enable core functionality such as song editing, section management, chord rendering, transposition, and session/setlist playback.
- Support optional features such as image annotation and AI-based conversion.
- Improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Maintain and improve the security of the app.
Live Sync (Premium)
SongLeadR offers an optional Live Sync feature that allows multiple participants to view the same session content in real time.
What Data May Be Shared During Live Sync:
- Session and playback state (e.g., current song, current section, ordering).
- Song metadata and content needed for the experience (e.g., title, key/capo overrides, lyrics, chords, section notes).
- Basic connection metadata required to operate the feature (e.g., connection identifiers and timestamps).
How It Works:
- Participants join via QR code or access code.
- When Live Sync is enabled, the app transmits the minimum necessary session data to keep connected devices in sync.
Export and Sharing
SongLeadR provides export features (e.g., ChordPro, ZIP archives, PDF generation, and PowerPoint/PPTX slides).
Export Behavior:
- Exports are generated at your request.
- Exported files may include the song content you created/imported and any images you attached, depending on the export type you choose.
- Generated slides and ZIP export files are stored locally within the app/on your device and are not uploaded or shared to any remote server.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Third-Party Services: SongLeadR may use third-party services to provide certain features (for example, AI transcription services for sheet music conversion, real-time networking infrastructure for Live Sync, and analytics services to collect non-personal usage data for app improvement). When used, sheet music images are transmitted only for conversion processing and are not stored by us on any remote server. These third-party services have their own privacy policies governing the use of information.
Legal Compliance: Information may be disclosed if required by law or to comply with a legal process.
Data Security
The security of your information is important to us. We employ reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Children’s Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided personal information without their consent, they should contact us, and we will take steps to remove such information.
