Alongside fast-paced word shooting in Assault Mode and three-lane runner action in Verse Chase, CrossVerse Mode gives players a third distinct way to hide God’s Word in their hearts.
How CrossVerse Mode Works
CrossVerse Mode blends the relaxing, contemplative focus of classic word-search puzzles with active Scripture memorization:
- Read the Full Scripture First: Just like in Assault Mode and Verse Chase, every CrossVerse round begins by presenting the complete verse. You read the passage in context before the puzzle starts, grounding your practice in understanding rather than guesswork.
- Scan the Letter Grid for Target Words: Key words from the verse become hidden target signals embedded within an arcade-themed letter grid.
- Trace and Connect Words: Players can drag across letters or tap the start and end of a word to highlight it. CrossVerse features distinct visual path tracing and responsive selection feedback, making finding words smooth and satisfying.
- Reconstruct the Passage: Each word you uncover slots directly into the Scripture header above the grid, decrypting the verse line by line until the full passage is restored.
By actively searching for each key word and watching the verse reassemble before your eyes, you build strong spatial and lexical associations with the passage.
Three Ways to Play, One Goal: Staying in the Word
With the addition of CrossVerse Mode, Verse Blitz now offers three distinct gameplay styles tailored to different moments in your day:
- Assault Mode (Word Shooter): Target and shoot the missing words in chronological order. Great for testing rapid recall and reflexes during short breaks.
- Verse Chase (Runner): Steer your runner across three neon lanes, dodging obstacles and passing through word gates to keep the verse flowing. Perfect for high-energy momentum.
- CrossVerse Mode (Scripture Word Search): Settle in with a focused letter grid, scanning for hidden Scripture terms to rebuild the verse at a thoughtful, puzzle-oriented pace.
Whether you have 90 seconds between appointments or ten minutes for evening quiet time, you can choose the mode that fits your energy and learning preference.
Now Fully Localized in Spanish, Portuguese, and Korean
God’s Word speaks to every tribe, tongue, and nation. In Verse Blitz 1.3, we have expanded language support to include full in-game and store localization for:
- Spanish (Español)
- Brazilian Portuguese (Português do Brasil)
